Alright, i want all of you to look around, see all the images? try your best and make pictures for every holiday, yes this may take some time, but it will make this forum look a little more fancier and not so boring with the same pictures over and over again.
you guys need to make pictures for every image.
make a holiday background skin. (any holiday)
it cannot be bloody unless it's for Halloween. (Halloween isn't really a Holiday but eh.

Actually, Halloween is considered a holiday. Christmas background. Anyways, do you know how time consuming it is putting and and replacing all the images? It's not easy I'll tell you.

What are you guys talking about?

Post by Zarth on Dec 23, 2008 1:28:28 GMT -5
For small pictures such as the folders beside each board and thread 33 by 33
for the buttons, 166 by 75
For the smiles 37 by 41
for stars 18 by 18.
A holiday banner, 615 by 109
and MVg, changing the images only really takes a few minutes to do, yes drawing them up well take a while, but when switching them, its as easy as coping down the link from photobucket and pasting them in the right spots. it would only really take 5 minutes
Last but not least a pic for the background 667 by 638
The colour of background You have MVg is OKAY, but its kind of plain, we need a pic in the skin to.
All you guys have to do is draw up pictures so that I or another mod/ admin can stick them into the right slots. There reslly is no big hurry, i know we wont be able to finish a christmas skin before christmas, so leave that one for later and work on the next holiday.

Well SOOOORRY for not being Newgrounds.
I don't have enough space on the sides of the forum, so what am I going to put?
And Zarth, putting a picture in the background isn't just like putting it in a post, it needs to be PART of the skin.
And the current smilies, and banner, are in Flash. Do wee really need to change them?

Well SOOOORRY for not being Newgrounds. I don't have enough space on the sides of the forum, so what am I going to put? any kind of picture, you can keep the colours, but just add in a background pic of somekind, just to spruce it up a little, maybe add in reefs or pumkins or harts ect ect ect on the side, they dont have to be huge. Or make 1 big picture to put in the middle of the skin maybe.. One other thing, MVG. Do you think that you would be able to find a code that code make the Wibd transparent? so that we would be able to see the background?? You guys dont have to make pics for the smiles, but if you want you can. I was just thinking of putting santa hats on them is all. or turnning them into pumkins for holloween. that sort of thing, but you guys dont have to fix the smiles if you dont want to.

It wouldn't be fitting, because the smilies are in Rabies's style.
And that's an impossible thing to do, unless you have the CSS of proboards, and their domain.
If we put it in the middle of the skin, no one would SEE it.

Not what I ment, what i mean is making it a little transparent, not fullu so you cant see the board anymore, but enaugh to see the background. In this pic, the words are really black, i just made the blue transparent enaugh to see them, it would be like looking through a stained glass window.

Yeah, that's impossible.
Look Zarth, we're not Newgrounds, we have a smaller community, and thus making less people care.

I know how to make the boards transparent.
<style type="text/css"> <!-- .windowbg,.windowbg2,.catbg,.titlebg,.bordercolor,.welcomebg,.menubg,.newstitlebg{background-color: transparent;} //--> </style>
Try that, and put it in global headers.

I wrote the other one, but I googled this one.
Try this zarth
<script type="text/javascript"> <!--
/*Opacity Boards - By iAlex - Open Source*/ if(location.href.match(/action=home/)||!location.href.match(/action/)){ var iTd=document.getElementsByTagName('td'); for(i=0;i<iTd.length;i++){ if(iTd.item(i).width=="66%" && iTd.item(i).align=="left" && iTd.item(i).vAlign=="top" && iTd.item(i).className.match(/^windowbg2$/)){ var iQuick=iTd.item(i).parentNode.cells for(a=0;a<iQuick.length;a++){ iQuick.item(a).style.opacity = .5; iQuick.item(a).style.filter = 'alpha(opacity=50)'; iQuick.item(a).onmouseover=function(){ this.style.opacity=1; this.style.filter = 'alpha(opacity=100)'; }; iQuick.item(a).onmouseout=function(){ this.style.opacity=.5; this.style.filter = 'alpha(opacity=50)'; }; } } } }
//--> </script>

Welp, i'm not an admin anymore, but thats not going to stop me from making these holiday skins here are some pics his one wold be put beside the members list, just a little santa hat. This would be put beside the boards to show that if they are active or not Active not active And this would be put by the X's beside the 3 windows at the bottem of the forum I would shrink these down if they are a little to big, but what do you guys think?? sorry for double posting

What about removing the colour boarder from that code so it stays and making the text a different coloyr so it snats out? Them put in a background image?? Would that work?
