I'm only calling this story the Damned right now because I can't think of name for it right now.this is only one of 5 pages of the prologue, If you like it I'll post the rest of it. I'm a little nervous of what you guys might think..... yea.... ENJOY.... *readies for insults.* The prologue takes place a few months AFTER the D day.The first chapter goes back to how that day went. This Story is unofficial I might add in or take things out. And a few things that might need editing. Start of book 1 Prologue: A dark day. Year: 3657 Month: March 23; 2 months after D day Time: 3:45 PMA once prosperous city teeming with life, reduced to a retched hive of unimaginable horrors. Wreckage littered the streets. Glass on most of the buildings were smashed, at the time when it all happened, it was like razor rain. It cut through metal like wet pieces of tissue. Massive veins extended from skyscraper to skyscraper like bridges. Small veins ran up all along and threw each and every building like an uncontrollable disgusting weed. Big clumps of these purple-like flesh egg things had attached themselves all in random areas, inside cars, on the side of buildings, on the roads, all of them different sizes, and images of bodies could be seen when light shined through them. An insanely foul stench filled the air. Spores were everywhere just floating around; it was like a foggy day. You couldn’t see five feet in front of you. Immense amounts of rain fell from the ominous clouds, hitting the concrete road so hard that it shattered it like glass over time. Five soldiers were running as fast as they possibly could in their dark, metallic, protective military armor. Each one holding a pulse rifle to their chests, each step hit a puddle, creating a loud splash. On each of their armors' left chest plate had their names. The lead soldier’s name was Derek, the behind him were Jason and Nathan, and the last two were Connor and Peter. “Are you sure the signal came from around here, sir?” Jason said to Derek over the rain. “I’m positive, Jason. But we have to hurry; we don’t know how much long they have left to live in this environment…” Derek said, answering his question. With lights on the sides of their helmets to see through the darkness, they ran for an entrance to a building just across the street when a loud screech came from far behind them. None of them stopped, for they knew what it was. They made it to up to a double glass door that had been shattered, Derek ahead of the rest stopped to turn around and armed his rifle to cover his comrades so that they could retreat inside safely. Once they all ran in, they brought their rifles up as well and began to secure the building. Papers, glass, blood and purple fleshy-like webs littered the room. Each soldier back-to-back covering their flanks of anything that may appear, each step made a disgusting squishing sound as they walked all over the veins. Nathan broke off formation and went to go check behind a wooden desk to the right of the room. The other four covered the exit and a staircase to the next floor. Searching carefully through each and every cupboard, purple veins covered the holes like webs, and he swept them away one by one and eventually found a child's head with it's eyes torn out, hair ripped out and covered in dry cracking blood. Nathan gasped and backed away, shocked at what he saw. Peter, who kept guard of the staircase, came over to see what was wrong. Reason for Editing: er, zarth said it was cool if i edited it a bit since he can't

Alright heres the rest then. Again, unnoficial, I might add more to it later on.
“What is it? You find \omething, Nathan?” Peter said. He lowered his gun and started to walk over to the counter. “N… No. there’s nothing here… we should proceed up to the next floor, that’s where the distress beacon came from, right?” he said trying to recollected himself. The roar of lighting caught all their attention for a moment.
“Yea, we should go then…” Peter said on the opposite side of the counter hesitantly, the five of them walked over and up the stair case still with their rifles still ready for anything to pounce out at them, Jason and Connor were facing the way they came in case something was tailing them, and the other 3 faced forward. Walking up the concrete stairs covered in purple webbed veins. Water dripped down from the ceiling slowly from a crack.
Slowly but surely they reached the first door. Thicker, stickier veins covered the way to the door. Derek pushed them out of the way with the barrel of his rifle then held his hand up, ordering the others to stop. Nathan and Peter behind him grabbed the other’s shoulders with their dark armored gloves, telling them to stop as well. On the front of the door, there were markings of blood from someone scratching away like they were trying to get in. The rumble from the rain gently shook the building. As Derek readied his foot to kick open the door, Nathan and Peter behind him had their rifles by each side of his head for anything hostile that may be on the other side. He thrusted his foot forward knocking the door right off its hinges. Wham the door went when it hit the ground. He readied his rifle and walked slowly into the room. A large broken glass dome was right above them, rain poured in, clapping against the tile floor. Obscuring any other sounds, as they all walked in, they took their positions again, covering their flanks. They walked along the edge of the room. Blood was everywhere. A sack like thing the size of the voxe-wagon sat on the opposite side of the room, blocking another closed door. They broke of their formation thinking that it was all clear, they parted and searched the furniture scattered all through the room. Jason kept guard of the stairs for anything that may come up. Connor looked at the sack, and the other three searched the rest of the room.
Right above one of Connor’s head looking was a grotesque pincer like thing, 3 huge sharp claws, and each pincer had its own bump spin, give it a total of three, Slimy from liquids that drained threw the veins, and connected to the roof like a chandelier with a tentacle like muscle that could stretch for up to 300 meters. Swaying back and forth, its pincers started to open revealing a hole no bigger then a tennis ball. Connor felt like something was watching him; he looked around the room making sure nothing was when a glob of disgusting slime fell on his shoulder. He slowly looks up and saw the creature.
Wham! It fell to the floor but still connected to the roof by the tentacle, its three pincers broke up the tiles around them. The others immediately looked to where the noise came from. The pincers closed, grabbing Connor and quickly pulling its self back up to the roof. Connor squirmed trying to break free
“Ahhh! Help! Someone help! I’m not ready to die!!! AHH AHHHH AHHHHH!” Connor panicked, still trying to break free. The others ran over to help; “What is that thing!” Derek asked surprised “Who cares! Just kill it!” Nathan yelled. Rounds of energy bolts flew out the barrels of their rifles and into its thick leather like skin, the force from the blasts only were able to push the creature around and caused small splats of blood to plash out of shallow vessels lining its sticky leathery skin. A long needle started to come through the hole between the creature pincers and above Connors head. As soon as it touched the surface of his helmet, it stopped for a moment, and then stabbed its way through too fast for the eye could see. Immediately the soldier stopped struggling and went limp, the sound of sucking could be head coming from the creature. All the others could do was sit there and watch as their friend died right in front of their eyes. After a moment, the needle came out of the soldier’s body and released its grip, letting his body fall to the floor. He hit the ground with a thunk. Peter and Nathan ran over and pulled his body out from under the creature incase it grabbed them too. . Derek walked over and took of Connors helmet which covered his entire face. Revealing what was left of him. Meeting the eyeless gaze of Connors face, he was nothing but skin and bones. All his organ and fluids were sucked right out of him, he looked like a dried up old raison
“You did well… Now rest in peace, soldier.” Derek said his good bye and took his dog tag shaped of a gold shield and put his helmet back on. Peter looked off to the sack thing that blocked the other door, it started to shack violently, squirts of liquid started to shoot out of small holes that were ripped open by its movement.
‘Uh, guys! I think we have a problem!’ Peter raised his rifle towards the sack, and backed up. The others looked up to where the sack was right before it burst open, and letting a thick purple liquid spew all over the tattered floor.
“Run!” Derek yelled, as backed up. The others listened and lowered their weapons and made a run for the stair case. Two giant claws like hands ripped through the thick tissue which held the liquid in and tore it apart like tissue paper. A mangled monster, a monster consisting of four different bodies, legs and arms hung out of its chest, arms and legs, a pulsing muscular vile of a thing, standing 6 and a half feet tall, and about 600 pounds, a deformed mutilated face with two piercing yellow eyes and a mouth that had 2 layers of razor sharp teeth. It gave off a roar while stepping out of the sack, two large scaly feet with 3 huge dirty clays on each, and gave chase after the others. Each step shook the building, it swung its huge muscular arms around, and knocking the furniture around like it was nothing.
Nathan, Jason, Peter and Derek Made their way down to the bottom floor as fast as the possibly could. The building shook as it ran out above, roaring, trying to find them.
“Derek! What in god’s name is that thing!?” Jason yelled, scared for his life.
“How would I know? Just keep Moving, we have to meet up with the others at the rendezvous point.” Derek said, as they ran back out the shattered glass door they came through and back the wet broken road when the ceiling for the bottom floor caved in and the giant monster crashed through, smoke blew out the doors, knocking any extra glass that may have been left. Catching Nathan’s attention, he stopped to turn and around to see what just happened when it busted through the doors, creating a huge gaping hole where the entrance once was. The monster started to sprint after them, sending tremors thru broken concrete road.
“Ooh shit!” Nathan said as he ran as fast as he could to catch up with the others. The hulking creature behind them gave off another loud deep roar, a green liquid spat out of its mouth like saliva. Some of it washed away by the rain, As soon as it hit the road, Steam started to rise, once it cleared, Small holes were left where the saliva had fallen. From all the noise, creature that hung around the top of the buildings noticed what was happening below. The same colour as the monster below, they had six mutated legs, each one had three razor sharp claws for climbing. A long body with a spiky spine that extended three feet and connecting to a pulsating spiny a meter long tail covered in small purple tumors at the end had a pincer. Three flaps for a mouth, lined with razor sharp teeth. Goopy thick dark green liquid ran down the side of their mouths, a seemingly skinny weak monster but incredibly fast. These things travel in large packs, only rarely would you see one alone. Hundreds of them were along the tall roof tops and all thou the broken sky scrapers. They all rushed over to the edge of the buildings and ran down the side, smashing their claws into the concrete. They came down by the hundreds.
“Hey. Derek! Weren’t we running from something down this road earlier today?” Peter asked, trying to keep at a constant speed away from the monsters behind them.
“Crap! Everyone! This way!” Derek yelled out so that everyone could hear. Further down the road was a horde mutilated people, each one covered in the same purple flesh, their faces similar to the thing that chased them but some of them only had half of that face. One half looked human, the other looked like the thing behind them. But both their eyes were still yellow and blood shot. They wore civilian clothes that had been ripped to pieces and were nothing but rags now. There were hundreds of them. Slowly walking towards the group’s direction when one of them screeched, soon after they all screeched simultaneously and started to run after them, snorting and waving their huge club like limbs that had scaly huge claws the ends of them.
Derek and the others turned right down another road to get away from them when a bolt of lightning hit the side of a skyscraper, knocking down large clumps of debris.
“Watch it!” Jason yelled as the debris hit the ground, kicking up smoke.
“Only a few more blocks to go, then were home free! Don’t give up men!” Derek yelled, encouraging the others to keep running. The horde behind them came around the large building and joined up with the bigger monster and the other crawling monsters. They were gaining step by step.
“Guys! I can see it! I can see the rendezvous point” Jason yelled with plea. 600 meters and closing, the group broke out of the city line and into a park and nearing the coast line, even the trees were covered in the same veiny flesh that had consumed the city to its doom. Further off, the sight of blue sky could be seen just off the coast line and along the horizon, a group of soldiers, along with a few civilians with face masks on, some of them just lying on the ground. The other soldiers stood there waiting for them on a plat form, clear of any of the purple flesh.
“Hurry up!” One of the other soldiers yelled from platform. Only 300 meters left to go when the horde behind them came into view.
“Get this bridge working, now!” a man in black armor different from the rest, he wore no helmet, but had a blue visor over his left eye and dirty blond hair. Complying with the order, the soldier started to charge the batteries. He soldier with the different armor stepped forward to edge of the plat form and raised his left arm, a gun that connected from his shoulder and extended past his hand took up his entire arm. He aim his weapon at the larger creature chasing them, the visor over his eye zoomed in and formed a target. Just as the Derek and the others made onto the platform, a huge energy bolt zoomed over their heads, melting the tops of their helmets and hit the large monster with an explosion, the horde around it scattered. It’s chest up as completely blown away, it stod there for a moment, then fell to it’s back, kicking up mud. Right after, edges of the platform lit up, a energy bubble formed around the platform to keep the air pressure stable and sped away from the damned city, passing by statue on al one island just of the coast, the only thing left that could be seen was stone flame being held high in the air, everything else was had been consumed by the same veins in the city
“It’s a shame New York fell to something such as this… this place use to be a shining example of what life was like all over the planet… Now look at it…” Peter depressingly said to the rest of the group.
All the men and women stood there, watching it was they passed by. The rain started too led up as they came out from under the dark ominous clouds and back to the normal bright blue sky. The sea water around the city had a dark purplish tint to it, but that slowly faded away as they drew away from it all. The man the lead the group took off his gas mask and looked up towards the city. Derek walked over to him to ask him a question.
“Do you think…? Do you think this thing will be able to cross the Atlantic and head for Europe??” Derek said, hopping for him to give him the answer he was looking for. He didn’t look back at Derek; he just gazed at the city as it shrunk in size the further they traveled.
“It already has, Derek… It already has…” He said as he looked away from the city and walked over to the civilians that sat in the corner happy that they’re alive but tired from what had happened to them. Derek looked over to the right and saw an adjacent path around 300 feet away, those purple veins crisscrossed, connected to the wires that kept the structure’s rail way connected. Derek just stood their like a statue and dropped his rifle in shock.
