I'm not dead yet. I've exclusively been doing ballpoint pen sketches and shit lately, hopefully I can get a camera soon and post some stuff.

I want to make this game so badly but I don't have the time nor will to do it. To give you a summery of it: You are a traveller from an unknown country who has landed on the NorthWest coast of America (Oregon) during the 1800s at the same time as the Louis and Clark expeditions. Basically, the game is a retro 2d sidescroller adventure game (think Cave Story or Dino Run etc), the only objective in the game is to get to the East Coast of America by traveling through the land, over the land, and under the land. The game would be very large in size (50 miles) and you would cross through different states as you go. I would like everyone's honest opinions of such a game. Would you play it?

This wouldn't be anything near Cave Story quality wise, god no, that man spent five years on that masterpiece. Mine wouldn't even have shading because it would take too long which is why I compared it to Dino Run.
Anyway thanks.

It's actually more of a ninja-type robot inspired by Cortex Command, (I guess it would be easy to mistake it since he's wielding a scimitar which is more of a pirate thing) but very good guess. C:

Dang it Xam, why didn't you live in the 70s when we could have used awesome pixel artists like you to your fullest potential?

Dang it Xam, why didn't you live in the 70s when we could have used awesome pixel artists like you to your fullest potential? Because in the 70's we were just figuring out pixel artistry.

Dang it Xam, why didn't you live in the 70s when we could have used awesome pixel artists like you to your fullest potential? When those games were made, the problem wasn't the artists being bad, it was the fact that the more pixels you had on the screen, the more the filesize would be, on the atari and such, the pixels had to be HUGE to accomidate the small hard drive on those carts.

Summa dat Smod And this is from Wurm Online. Me and my bud used to go cave exploring and we found this one abandoned complex that must've gone 70 or so tiles back and had this underground cliffside in it, eventually we got chased out by the critters but boy was that fun.
