Me and grim decided in MSN to write this story chapter by chapter, each taking turns. HELL YEAH ROBOTS
Tick. Tick. Tick. Tick. My watch boomed as I was scribbling frantically on this small, tattered peice of paper. The walls are closing in and we're out of time.
We're out of time.
I have no name, none other than the alias Elementell, it's hard to trust anyone in this feild, so we all have aliases to protect our identities. Apparently I'm to work with a codename "The Lawlrus", she was described to be strong willed, intelligent, and to carry around a magic turtle. "This case we're working on isn't for a damn rookie, Shells.", I said with a dispositioning look on my face, this guy has made some pretty shitty decisions in the past, I don't want a guys life to be staked on it. "Balto, my god damn name is Balto! You can't be shouting names like that!" He shouted, turning the head of every smuck in this joint. I didn't really understand the point of those stupid names until later that day.
"Well, how experienced is this... Lawlrus?" I inquired, I've been working with rookies for too long, and this here is a real case.
"She isn't" Balto said, looking me dead in the eye, he knew what I was going to say and cut me off. "But shes got some head on her shoulders, boy. She graduated with a masters degree in criminal justice in just 4 and a half years in harvard. She's bright, and more than able to take this case."
"But She-... Balto..." I gave a pleading look
"Theres no talking out of this, she'll be your parter and you'll be damn glad I don't bump you down to rookie class for complaining, now get your ass out of here." He said in his raspy voice after taking a long drag from his cigarette, looking over at the city. "A pretty fucked up world we live in, eh? Can't walk 2 blocks without meeting a stripper and at least 3 people trying to sell you dust now a days." He said, obviously calming down.
"When do I meet her?" I asked, cutting the air.
"Tomorrow, you're meeting at woostock park at 12 pm sharp, don't be late, you can talk over the case, then you can start following clues the next day." He said, sitting down, making a dismissing motion.
I lit up a cig, and started trotting to the hellhole I call a home. City air fogging up the streets and people meaner than pitbulls.
Another rookie I thought, walking back to my apartment, long hair blowing in the wind with my coat flapping. "It'll be a long week this week, another case, I'm getting too old for this shit." I said, as I tossed my cigarette into the wind, and went home for a final nights easy rest.
I'll rewrite this tomorrow, this intro was written terribly.
