Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Obstacle Course! In this thread, you will be presented with a series of challenges for one or more of your characters to overcome. Here are the rules:
The events will changeeither weekly or biweekly (depending on how many people respond, etc.) whenever people get tired of it. You can suggest events, but DO NOT POST SUGGESTIONS IN THIS THREAD. PM me your suggestion and I'll either put it into the list or tell you what's wrong with it.
Some characters will find certain events easier than others. Personally, I would encourage you to use characters who would have to find more creative ways to solve the problems, but I'm not gonna stop you from making things easy.
I'll record the people who pass each event and with which character in this post, along with a log of past events.
This thread has a variety of purposes. It can be a place to make a quick picture when you can't think of anything to draw. It can also be a place to give a new character a test drive without tossing them directly into combat. Use it for what you like.
Props to Ghost for inspiring this thread with that old TBEWY thread. Too bad he's not around anymore.
CURRENT EVENT:
You wake up in a dark room. It is silent. Did the walls just come closer? No, that's silly. That trap is only used in movies. Realistically, there are hundreds of more effective ways to OH GOD OH GOD THE WALLS ARE MOVING! How do you get out?!
Completed by:
MadvideoGamer (with MVG) - Fourth wall? What fourth wall?
So there you are, trying to enjoy the most recent Grent's Grentacular Grentshow when this asshole sits down in front of you and starts making a ton of noise. He laughs obnoxiously at everything. He yells shitty suggestions at the screen. He smells kinda funny. Needless to say, he's got to go, but being a polite moviegoer, you don't want to draw any more attention. How do you shut him up without causing more noise than this douche is already making?
Completed by:
Hawshman (with whoever the hell that was) - Fetch!
DJGrandpa (with Eddie) - That's the power of the (hair)do!
And now for something totally different. It's open mic night at Mr. Tavern, and you were somehow convinced to sign up. It's your task to entertain the crowd in whatever way you can, but be warned: they know what your powers are, and won't be satisfied simply by a demonstration of them. You can do anything you like as long as there's not too much collateral damage to the tavern (Mr. Handy would be pissed) and no one in the audience is harmed by the act. You can bring props, instruments, etc. on stage with you, and you can even team up with other brawlers if you want (be sure to coordinate this, though, and you both need to do some work on the pic). Break a leg!
Completed by:
DJGrandpa (with Eddie) - Reaty to rock 'n' roll.
Grimscott (with DiabloKing) - Reunite with your loving audience.
Destructin (with Marckus) - I FUCKIN' LOVE IT
NitroExplosion (with TOTALLY NOT JACOB) - I knew someone would use calculus for entertainment eventually.
For some reason or another (you can't really recall), you seem to be falling at a very high speed towards solid ground in the Void. If you don't do something, you will die from this fall. Needless to say, you'd prefer to avoid this. Luckily, you seem to be falling alongside a prototype Lucky Wish BoxTM, which, when opened, is able to summon one item, provided it fits within the confines of the box. Unfortunately, as this is a prototype, it has a few glitches, most notably that it won't summon a parachute or anything that the user intends to use in a similar manner to a parachute. Using a combination of your powers and the box, make it so that you land safely on the ground.
Completed by:
DJGrandpa (with Eddie the Rocker) - Incredibly intense implants.
Grimscott (with DiabloKing) - Just got a box full of rocks...
Elementell (with Elementell) - Everyone loves a bounce house.
Destructin (with Marckus) - Being Mexican has its perks.
Retyuoligkl (with Retyuoligkl) - Tripping. Balls. I'm just going to assume that made sense.
You are on one side of an incredibly long pit of acid. Way too long for anyone to jump across. Your goal is to make it to the other side of the pit without being dissolved by the acid (which, by the way, is SuperacidTM and will dissolve anything it touches, including things that are normally resistant to acid [the one exception being the pit]). There is nothing but a wall behind you, and there is no way to exit the corridor.
Completed by:
McJesus (with McJesus) - Turn an extend-o-sword into a bridge.
Christopher (with Rety) - Helicopter hat!
DJ Grandpa (with Eddie the Rocker) - Epic canyon cross via car.
Zarth (with Took Man) - Shoot across with a cannon (and jetpack thing?)
Icebrigade (with Blue/Ice) - PLASMA FART *frrrrt*
Destructin (with Marckus) - Make a pathway out of ice.
The Omnipresence (with The Omnipresence) - SPIDER-BOT! SPIDER-BOT! DOES WHATEVER A SPIDER CAN!
Grimscott (with DiabloKing) - Bring down the roof!
- You may not complete a challenge in a way someone else already has.
- You must not incorporate the solutions of anyone else into your solution unless the scenario is a team event. For example, if MVG creates a portal in his solution, that portal does not exist in your run.
- You can only have one character complete a challenge at a time. You may complete the same challenge with two different characters if you like, but their runs must have nothing to do with each other (see previous rule). If it is a team event, you may only have one character active.
- You may enter on any event you like, skip events, and use different characters for different events, but you must only work on the current event (no going back to old ones if you missed them).
- The solution pictures can be any length, but they must be clear as to how they solve the problem.
- You may use items from your inventory as long as they're not assist trophies.
The events will change
