Granted, the person who drew it was a woman. Even she said it was too gay for her and quit lol. Earlier she had a guy in a Red bunny suit. Make of that what you will.

Nitro you really need to shrink your scans etc. down before you post them. It'll hide the flaws and make it so that I can actually see the damned things.

Those aren't scans, they're pictures.

Can we play a game where every time you come on here and haven't worked on your anatomy I kick you in the ass?

Hi everybody I'm going to be nice.
The second picture is pretty decentish in the anatomy department but I still think it needs a bit of work.
My advice is to look up like, pictures of actual people in the position you want to draw, or look at how other people draw their people to see how the joints connect and such. I'm not saying outright copy someone's art, I'm just suggesting you use it as a reference for when you do arms from the side/perspective and such.
(I was gonna say the legs on the second one looked weird anatomy wise but sometimes robots have weird legs. Moving the legs a bit apart would definitely make it look a more natural however.)
While I don't know the reason for all the extra detail I'd say if it's just you adding more on because you want to I'd say it's generally better to not. Keeping it smoother/simpler can not only make the drawing more pleasing to look at thanks to there not being wires and such. Then again with robots, depending on what you're drawing it's sort of hard to do. I can imagine what you wanted to draw with the second one and to be honest I don't know what I'd do to make that have less detail besides getting rid of a couple lines on the arms and legs.
I think you should practice perspective and side views, I think it'd be a good start from this point.
Keep it up man it's always good to get better.

ok i agree with IB. but also try bigger pictures. I don't think the detail is the problem but it's all constricted into a little picture and it looks gross honestly.

Can we play a game where every time you come on here and haven't worked on your anatomy I kick you in the ass? Can I join in on the fun? c: Hi everybody I'm going to be nice. The second picture is pretty decentish in the anatomy department but I still think it needs a bit of work. Not really, no. There're quite a few issues. Some minor, some not. The neck is much too long, meaning the head sits much too high. The arms are okay at best, mostly due to their proportions and the fact that the upper arms have what look to be outer details (on the sides of the arms) on the front, as if they've been twisted all wonky. There's not real way to tell how the arms are supposed to be twisted, so it looks completely unnatural. this this this this this this this this this oh my GOD this studying and drawing from life (including reference photos) is the absolute best way to improve your art. you always have something to go back and compare to and make the big or little changes that really help things out. you really need an eye for detail, too, but that will come with time and practice. I think the legs are possibly one of the best bits of the second image. Granted, the hips and waist area needs a lot of work (along with the rest of the torso), but the legs themselves are possibly one of the better portions of the anatomy. There's a delicate balance of detail and simplicity that needs to be found. Right now there's way too much detail that's being shoved into small spaces, and it's heavily contrasting detail due to the picture being just lineart. Some of the detail would be fine if it was on a full blown piece of work and was done in the shading, but it's simply too much otherwise. With lineart, one of the biggest things to work with is negative space and implied shapes. Perspective needs to come second to anatomy. Until the anatomy is nailed down without (heavy) perspective, then studying perspective is going to do jack shit for helping the image. You can't draw the human(oid) body in perspective until you can draw the human(oid) body. ok i agree with IB. but also try bigger pictures. I don't think the detail is the problem but it's all constricted into a little picture and it looks gross honestly. While size would help, it's not going to help until the picture's probably about 5x larger. Again, due to contrast.

A panel from the comic I'm drawing. For the thread "Rialto vs Malice." That is one sexy neck. Coloration and art might be changed from how it looks now. That's a milestone right there.

I dont like being the bad guy, but you really haven't made anything "milestone" worthy it's almost as if you never took any of the wonderful C&C on board.
