In an attept to bring back a certain thread that certain Newgrounders new and loved, we're getting together to form a full-fledged MS Paint Brawl forum! Awesome, I know.
Now, on to running this whole business.
This is how the rules work: We basically begin a fight and draw pictures for each move we are making using characters we have created. They can either be a form of yourself or someone completely made up. (On that note, you might want to get a Photobucket account or something)
I only have a few guidelines, however.
1. When you introduce your character, please state the powers he/she has. You're free to add some more as you go along, as long as they aren't cheap. This now only applies to characters that aren't in a roster.
2. No annoying escapes. I don't want to see a bunch of kids going back and forth saying "I killed you!" "Nuh-uh!" "Yeah-huh!" over and over again. We aren't six years old, people!
3. No killing. Sucks, I know, but if you want your own character to die or admit defeat, then go ahead.
4. No plain stick figures. If you're going to have a stick figure character, then add some characteristics to it. A headband (or not, because we've pretty much run that idea dry), some pants, whatever. But the sole administrator smiles on those who are original.
5. Put some effort into your drawings. If it sucks, it'll be deleted. Do that enough, then you're out of here. (I love being admin) You don't have to be da Vinci or anything, just as long as we can distinguish everything.
6. Don't reuse pictures.
7. Just in case, give us some sort of hint as to what is in your picture if it is rather vague.
8. I would appriciate it if you made at least some of your posts entertaining. Not just "kick", "punch", "headbutt" over and over again. We want to see stuff like "I just hit you with the planet Saturn, so what now?" or "I will attack you with my faithful herd of rabid linsangs" or whatever. Silly and epic is what we need, people.
[[[UPDATE!!!]]]
9. Additional topics don't have to have storylines. Something else you could do is make a special brawl with certain guidelines. For example, make it so each picture has to have 4 panels with each action or make it so no one can use their arms while fighting. Those are only examples. Be as creative as you want.
[[[UPDATE NUMERO DOS!!!]]]
10. Just so everyone knows your character, make sure that the character you are using has a profile and/or a description in the Concept Art thread. The profile is obviously preferred. If it is the first time you have ever used that character, please provide a link to the character's description.
AND YET ANOTHER UPDATE:
If you're starting a new topic in Main Arena, it MUST have an opening picture or it will be locked. Period.
And, though the whole thing was started by MS Paint, you are allowed to use that and/or any other drawing program you want (GIMP, Photoshop, Flash, etc.).
Other than that, there are no rules. So go nuts!
