I've had this idea ever since I saw these forums (about an hour ago). What if the staff held a tournament every once in a while? The staff could make a thread asking who would want to join and whoever did join will be randomly pitted against another person that entered. Their could also be a stage made solely for tournaments.
The topic title could be along the lines of:
Tournament Match 1: Somedude vs Dudesome Tournament Match 2: Onedude vs Dudeone
etc.
Instead of the normal Grudge Match title so they could be distinguished. In fact, maybe a tournament sub section could be erected (tee hee) in the Grudge Match section for all Tournament Brawls.
A drawn roster could keep fighters and spectators alike updated on the competition and keep the whole thing organized. Winners could be chosen how they regularly are or a set of judges (maybe staff members that aren't participating) to decide who did the better job or who they liked best.
Then the prize could be a little signature image like "Tournament 1 Champion", "Tournament 1 Runner-Up", "Tournament 1 Participant" and maybe Brawlios to the top 4.

I agree new guy, we need to have a proper tournament at some stage, using the Arena.

But how would someone win? They'd just show someone dead, and the other guy somehow makes an excuse "Oh, I didn't die."

dA rules. Both parties make a comic where they win by whatever means. No killing, obviously. Knock out or something creative or whatever. Then a group of judges (their identity kept secret so no one knows) will judge which is better.

Maybe the fights should work like this. Each brawler would get three or more turns to attack. Whoever does more attacks in all of they're turns combind wins. Or something like damage points.

It might even be possible to create a seperate board just for the tournaments.

Are the rules, you draw a entire comic of you fighting and winning, and judges say who is better, and that person wins, because if so, Awesome!

Sounds like everybody's go for this, then. If it helps, I could organize it, set up rules and judging and whatnot.

Sounds like everybody's go for this, then. Sounds like that to me, too. Me and the Staffies/Watchmen are gonna have to come up with the terms of it. Once we got something solid, we'll set 'er up. Also, feel free to PM ideas and such to me. Willing to take advice on this.

I'm a little tied up in terms of drawing at the momment (namely, flash is not working right,) but I could be a judge.

ok but if the tornaments are rated on art or the juges are byest im out. Isn't it basically like a cascade of grudge matches? You kick eachothers asses until one quits and one is awarded the prize of another death stain on their unclensable souls? More senseless violence that is corrupting our vision and causing life as we know it to crumble into street crimes and hatred? The same disgusting things that happen in the alleyway to get your money back after forking out 40 bucks for special services? Naw.

I drafted what I thought would be a relatively fair set of rules and sen 'em to Balto a while ago. What do you guys think?

I actually had generally the same idea, with a number of exceptions. This is the PM I sent out to the mods, asking about how they think the tournament should be organized (though edited to keep out some secret stuff):

Maybe make a separate board from the grudge matches to keep it all organized too. Maybe a tournament board or something. or a sub board in the grudge match board
