If you ask any Nintendo fan, they might say that the Metroid Prime series are some of the best games to be put out on a Nintendo console. If you asked me about it a week ago, I'd disagree. To be honest, I couldn't get past the first game, mostly due to the damned controls. Some people loved the controls, but I just couldn't get a handle on them. It felt awkward to most First-Person perspective games I've played, since the Gamecube was missing a very necessary 2nd thumbstick. Because of this, I never picked up the sequel, or the Wii finale. However, now that Metroid Prime Trilogy has come out, the whole control problem has been corrected. Metroid Prime has never felt better, using the Wii control setup found in Corruption. But the big thing is that this one disk as all 3 games, all complete, nothing removed. Now that I can actually use the controls without tossing my Gamecube controller at the TV, I can actually enjoy the game.
This thread is dedicated to not just the Trilogy compilation itself, but to the series as a whole. What are your opinions on the series?

I thought Corruption was pretty awesome, so I'll be buying Trilogy. Shame they didn't add voice acting to the first two games (did they?) because hearing those monotone, robotic voices in such isolated areas after hearing no one for a while is really awesome, and creates a fantastic mood. This thread is dedicated to not just the Trilogy compilation itself, but to the series as a whole. What are your opinions on the series? Now when you say "The Series" do you mean the Metroid Prime series or the entire canon of Metroid.
