Ghost
Ghost is a Veteran Brawler for at least two years. Known for his eccentric cosplaying, overeagerness, indomitable willpower, insane shenanigans, and overall lunacy and flippant personality changes - he is a force to be reckoned with, as no one other than the demon Illidon can truly predict what he's going to do next. A new rumor going around is that Ghost actually LACKS any true powers, apart from the gadgets and fourth-wall breaks he wields, and it is simply through cleverness and his seemingly natural ability to "tweak" the unexplained rules of reality in the White Void that grant him his dangerous cunning and power.
Background
Ghost was originally a User from Newgrounds City born of EXP-leveling from the user Rague - he studied science and eventually located a career for himself in Biomechanics and Mental Applications. During the 2006' Kitty Krew Raid, he was on top of his own laboratory working on a device that could open up the neural pathways of the brain that prevented more advanced psionic abilities such as teleportation and precognition, however, one of the KK bolts struck him and the device malfunctioned.
He awoke after being unconsciously teleported to the White Void, a dimension-bending world where all things that are "eliminated from existence like bugs on a windshield" end up to live the rest of their days. He quickly discovered that the safety goggles he was wearing had fused to his skull, and prior to meeting with a wandering Random Enemy Mugger-Type he began to lose it. However, he was rescued by a band of marines under the command of Warren Hawking, the lot of whom were busy with an unidentified military uprising in the area.
Brought back to the past-time small city, Brawl City, Ghost was checked into a hospital where he remained amnesiac until he cleared with a bill of health by Doctor Vaymen. His goggles were tinkered with however, and the doctors reported their incredible design and potential to pre-President Commander Balto, who was currently recruiting powerful individuals to become part of his private army of White Void citizens known as "Brawlers".
Ghost spent three years training and serving in the Brawler Army, watching the White Void grow and develop and participating in many of the public-sponsored battles and events that populate the world. He learned many tricks of the trade from his commanding officer, Daniel Ratherman, and received his signature Masamune from the officer. However, during an operation where the Brawlers were sent to mindlessly murder civilians - Ghost became disillusioned with the Brawlers and temporarily AWOL'd.
Along with him, Ghost carried a top-secret government-issue "Polter Geista VII Belt" from the sci-fi anime "Syke-Gothya". This belt automatically converts the wearer's own molecules into an intangible phase, literally transporting them over a dimension while maintaining the user's "apparent" appearance in the one they are currently inside of, allowing that user to remain physically unharmed and unaffiliated with that dimension's laws for the time being.
Though this was still before the turning point in Ghost's life. No, it came when he met up with one of his former comrades, Fire Mario of Fireteam Rofflez met up with him in a grudge-match bar - and true to form - the two war buddies grudged over an unsettled bet by deciding upon an arm wrestling match. When Ghost lost (at least in his mind) he suddenly triggered an unexpected reaction in his goggles. Previously unknown was an undiagnosed spore of FAB from Newgrounds from the redesign that was slowly eating away at Ghost's health, though his goggle's had absorbed it and prevented its lethal spread.
The unexpected adrenaline of assumed loss drove Ghost over the edge, transforming him into the horrible, all-powerful FAB monstrosity. Going on a rampage, he invaded all kinds of locales and death followed in his wake. Using what little control he had left, Ghost, with the aid of Mad Video Gamer and his portal device, cast himself into an unstable interdimensional realm until the FAB substance was ripped from his body, even at the cost of his life.
Ghost returned months later, claiming to have removed the FAB from himself and FAB, by itself having become a sick symbiote, deceased in the inter-dimension. He resumed his duties as a Brawler, however, he was obviously changed. The interdimension had driven Ghost mad, dosing him with a case of "super sanity" where he learned to transform and use the White Void's limitless dimension to his own personal gain.
Recently, Ghost visited a fortune-teller who warned him that his "true power was ready to be awakened", however, like all, if he did not somehow access this growing power soon, it would detonate and kill him permanently. Ghost visited The Master (see Other Characters for details), who was instantly disgusted with his former pupil's personality change and his irresponsibility with his powers.
Ghost is secretly awaiting the end of the White Void, and has displayed an interest in recording all of Brawl's history. Like all Brawler's, his natural predator is Illidon.
Appearance/Personality
Ghost dresses like most Brawlers, he wears a one-size, ultra-durable black bodysuit developed by the Registered Brawling Union and sports a sexy pair of red goggles that are allegedly fused to his skull. These, however, are more than just a fashion statement. You might say Ghost is rather lanky, making him tall to the point of clumsiness but thin at the same time (he's not Jack Skellington, however).
Ghost interestingly shares a heavy-set friendship with the Omnipresence, a rich industrialist from the future who secretly plots to conquer the Brawlers but helps them indiscreetly when the Void is in peril (he'd kind of like Doctor Robotnik after becoming "Eggman" during the Sonic Adventure games), whom he often calls "money" for short - their acquaintanceship is derived from Omni requiring manual labor and Ghost requiring finance for his actions.
He has also befriended the late Spawner, Fire Mario, Melee Llama, Grimscott, and Bulet.
Oddly, Ghost's second natural predator is Ruby (for curious chat-related reasons) o_0...
A proud conspirator, Ghost has always believed in the one sole thing about the White Void's impossible origins: it will one day collapse in on itself and take out Brawl City, Illidon, and everything else with it. He eagerly awaits this day and plans to make himself immortally written as "The Last Brawler".
Also aforementioned, Ghost has some kind of "hidden power", the origins and specifications of which are unknown. He doesn't really care though, he brawls for entertainment and to prove a point:
Powers/Abilities
You see, Ghost's goggles can actually gather together red-tinted solar energy in a matter of seconds and loop it successively into a powerful energy blast, quintessentially the equivalent of Cyclops from X-Men. If these goggles are removed, Ghost instantly unleashes a destructive blast that is three times as powerful as his normal ones. Although, Ghost rarely uses this ability anymore due to his parodical fighting style.
Ghost's goggles possess many strange qualities: they can absorb volatile energy and store it for future use, they can draw diseases and hostile substances inside of Ghost's body (although they are not actually removed and may later infect Ghost as a whole entirely), and they also change color indicating Ghost's current personality and/or mood.
- When they turn Pink, it means that his FAB persona is being awakened (see FAB for details).
- When they turn Dark Red, it means he is becoming increasingly sadistic or ultra-violent.
- When they are of normal Red color, Ghost is acting reasonably sane like he did in his youth.
- And when they are of a lighter, slightly rosy color it means that Ghost is accessing his "super sanity" in which he is likely to break the fourth wall, exploit the environment or context of a battle, and is virtually capable of any personality he puts his mind to.

Ghost testifies that he is not a homegrown Brawler, just a registered one, so he lacks the Brawler's biological ability to sustain massive damage without noticeable injury, though his super-sanity generally provides him comfort through these troubling times. He does not have super strength, or super speed, though he does commit to daily exercise being that he does participate in many brawls.
Thanks to his namesake, it is often confused that Ghost has the power of becoming intangible. This, however, is not true, because during Ghost's early brawling days he secretly acquired and used an invention known as the Polter Geista VI Belt (see Background for details), which renders the wearer's flesh and bone noncorporeal to a certain degree. Ghost uses this gadget as much as he does his goggles - almost never. He probably lost the belt during the Great Deletion now that I think about it.
Ghost's fighting style consists of a lot of kicking, his legs are his best friends. While also being very flexible. Ghost has studied from some of the Void's best sword fighters, including Gertrude and Cereal, even learning how to spawn his own Masamune (which was given to him by his CO Daniel Ratherman) from the latter. He also mastered the art of Capoeria under the Martial Arts Granny's tutelage, though it was all he learned as he was kicked out shortly after for his juvenile shenanigans.
Momentum "Mome" Man
Momentum is a fairly-regular Brawler who allied himself with Ghost months ago, famous solely for being considered Ghost's "first" real friend. He's pretty mellow, but his tongue can cut ice. He is one of the few people in the White Void who can tolerate Ghost's maniacal endeavors due to his own abilities harboring a destructive nature, the two share a kinship in that manner. Momentum's voice actor is played by Robin Atkin Downes.
Background
Momentum was a Brawler born in Brawl City to parents who worked in the government, operating alongside a fellow business partner named Waiver. When the Elementell trial concluded with the moderator's exile from Brawl government and the city itself, Mome immediately quit the court also and discarded all of his previous ties in order to maintain a more neutral-chaotic relationship with the Void. He met Ghost in a bar one day after this, studying the man's strange ways during a less-than-burly bar fight the prankster had slipped out of nonchalantly.
