Sorry for the undescriptive thread title, but thought I'd post some ideas I've had in the short time I've been here.
Firstly - I'm lost. Completely and entirely. Yeah, there's all these sub-forums that seem rather self-explanatory, but.... There's no coherence to them.
So there's one of my two cents. Technical aspects that could be improved and streamlined, etc.,. The second of the two cents is more aesthetic and design.
In my opinion, the design is meh. The colours and all... I dunno. I guess it's the default. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the forum admin (top-o'-the-top) set that? It'd be better to have something a bit more visually welcoming than these blues, goldenrods, and that nasty hover state green for the threads. D:
I might be able to throw something together (in college for vidya gaem design but I can kinda do site design) if people want my third and fourth cents. And before you ask, yes, I know about the user cp and being able to change the colours, but there's too many to go through. DX

- "Are You New Here???" is a terribly tiny forum with very, very little to help someone actually get started around here.
- Imageshack w/o Profiles, How to Post Pictures, How to Upload Avatars, etc.,. could probably be condensed into one single "FAQ" thread. I've not even looked at the thread titled FAQ yet, though. Keep the FAQ for the uncreative, technical aspects. Good programs to use, how to use bb code, go through the various bb codes you have, stuff like that.
- Keep the Character Creation Thread, but refine some of the links it heads to. I'm not skilled in coding, and I don't know how much these forums allow for customization, but maybe you could have some sort of "external" area that houses an actual database of characters. I dunno so much about this, it's just an idea I only got just now.
- THIS, FOR ME, IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART. Consolidate a few threads into the newbie section about how the forum runs. Battling, etc.,. Keep the other sub-forums uncluttered and streamline it for new users. Give us the map (make sure it's up-to-date, some things around here seem to link around to really old shit), give us the rules, how single duels are made, etc.,.

- The Fighting Roster is nice, and I'm glad it's around. Having the list of characters and creators to do a quick ctrl-f in is wonderful. Keep that up-to-date, maybe see if you can automate it.... Doubt that's possible, though.
- I kind of dug through Main Arena and Grudge Matches. I'm still a bit confused on how it all works and what's where and all that, but I like the looks of the forums, if not a bit cluttered with stickies. Not even touched Stories and Fan Fics.
- Not delved too far into the other sub-forums, either.
