This is the game where no matter how much I play the first one, or hear about this one, it is still scary as hell.

This is the game where no matter how much I play the first one, or hear about this one, it is still scary as hell. Bioshock 1 is WAY scarier than this. I suppose some of the fear is zapped out by the fact you have a MASSIVE FUCKIN DRILL and BADASS ARMOUR.

Yeah...I've been playing it for a night and a half.
Up to Siren Alley, and I disagree, I'm just as scared pissless as anyone else. Playing during the day even - no, not jump out of my seat scared, morel ike tense and paranoid scared.
Lol, remember the demo that made it seem like being a Big Daddy was going to mean a lot when fighting Splicers (besides going underwater and surviving crazy shit that would have destroyed Jack in the first one)?
Ha, that demo was bollocks. I haven't run into a single Splicer I can scare - fuck, they're not as scary because you're bigger, but they're like termites. Now they're organized, they're not as afraid, and some...some look like rejected animations for the Tank from L4D. And their weapons? Ha, compared to the first one, its like they mass-produced all the guns Jack left behind because they can kill you quicker than a Bouncer could in the first one with a few stray shots.
And this is just on Medium difficulty.
The only thing that is a major disappointment is the Big Sister (although when you see her "not going for you" she's still pretty creepy), but I knew that already after we found out they were going to be the "new Big Daddies" instead of just one rare, tough as nails one. Of course though, I've only fought them three or four times...

I bought the game two days ago. I love it, the way you search for items. I don't think it's scary though. Just eerie. :D

I bought the game two days ago. I love it, the way you search for items. I don't think it's scary though. Just eerie. :D I take it you got to Siren Alley? In which case, I must say, you've got a heart made of something sturdier than mine. Albeit, I haven't picked it up since because I'm letting my PS3 cooldown from overnight usage... The rest is actual spoilers, no joke. The second Father Wales jumped out and I took a look at how big the map was I knew it was time to go to bed...at times its eerie, at others its tense. Pick your moments...
The main reason it wouldn't seem as scary is because you're not playing with flesh anymore, when you see Delta survive an explosion that sends him kersploding through like two or three walls and out onto the ocean floor where his "should be ripped open suit" can still survive the pressure of the ocean. You don't feel much else could kill him after that. Tenenbaum herself notes this, "In that suit not even the ocean can harm you.". Its funny, if they weren't mentally-conditioned, Big Daddies and their suits would be one of mankind's greatest inventions.
Lol, has anybody tried to stay out in the ocean long enough to see if the suit can run out of oxygen?
Bioshock Directors were right though, Jack WOULDN'T survive Bioshock 2 even if you maxed him out.

Ah, just got it, been playin it all morning. (On the bit where I'm looking for corpses for my new lil sis.) I might sound kinda silly, but I really am so extremely happy about the different hacking method. Now I can actually pull it off! :3

There's one audio log by Fontaine where he's working on his Atlas voice that made me laugh But I lol'd hardest when I lit a splicer on fire and my little sister said "ooh, marshmallows!" I like the game so far (I'm at Fontaine Futuristics). I don't know how either this or the first one were supposed to be scary, though. Also anyone know what the rose from the "present for the yellow-eyed girl" is for? Just for show?

I liked it when my little sister saw me upgrade a weapon and she said "even daddy's toys have toys". And turns out my aim is pretty awesome with the pin to wall gun thingy, I shot a dude in the face and he stuck to the wall, then some other dude ran past and just as he ran past I shot him in the face too so now they're both stuck to eachother on the wall like that. Then I went and check for a better look and just by luck there was a poster behind them and they were pinned to it's nose. Lol.

I have it for the Xbox 360 and I got 1000/1000 gamerscore for it. Hooray! Time to trade it in to GameStop... You'll always be in my heart, or in the "Used" games section...
