So I've got two characters so far, hopefully at least somewhat interesting.
Babel is a giant robot (obviously) covered in speakers. He stands about 10 feet tall and is powered by large hydraulics in his chassis and covered in thick steel plating. He is part of an order known as "sound monks," that is, a collection of being who revere sound in all its forms. As such, many of his tactics and attacks rely on using his huge array of speakers to disorient, distract or even directly damage enemies. He also fights with his heavy metal fists and feet, punching, grabbing, slamming and stomping enemies weakened by his sonic onslaught.
Strengths:
Thick armor plating makes him extremely durable.
Hydraulic limbs are extraordinarily strong, giving him devastating slams, punches and stomps.
Sound system can be used to distract and disorient enemies or even, with a charged focus attack, destroy eardrums or physically knock enemies down with a wave of noise.
Senses of hearing and sight are both extremely strong, though hearing is impossible when sound attacks are active.
Fast speed in straight lines; very powerful charges.
Can crush enemies with sheer mass.
Weaknesses:
Large size makes him an easy target.
Cumbersome and heavy, as well as easy to flank; he turns slowly and cannot maneuver well, especially in tight spaces.
Sound system makes it impossible for him to hear while active.
Slow acceleration.
This picture is pretty over-detailed, when drawn in an actual match he would be simplified.
Soldiergirl:
Soldiergirl is the nickname given to this woman, whose real name is unknown. She appears to be in her early twenties, and is always seen wearing a military uniform several sizes too large for her. Her hair is very long and ragged, and her eyes are huge and entirely black. The uniform is said by some to have belonged to her dead father, others say it belonged to a lover killed in war. Either way, she wears it constantly, despite it being much too large for her and extending much past her arms and pooling around her feet. Soldiergirl fights in eerie silence, never saying anything or making any noticeable noises. She is quite small, standing only 5'7", but is very quick on her feet and an excellent shot with a rifle and pistol, as well as a skilled knife fighter.
Armaments:
Scoped rifle used to engage enemies over long distances.
Two handguns for closer ranged firefights.
Two combat knives for close combat.
Assortment of grenades and other devices for causing chaos, confusion and mayhem on the battlefield.
Strengths:
Very fast foot speed and reaction time, as well as keen senses. Almost always knows where her enemy is at all times.
Very accurate shot with her rifle and pistols.
Skilled with her knives, capable of very fast attacks and acrobatics that throw enemies off guard and give her the advantage.
Most of her apparent target area is empty clothing, and she has an uncanny knack for maneuvering her body inside her clothing, making many "hits" passing through nothing but cloth.
Weaknesses:
Overall very low strength and mass; she is easily knocked down if a hit connects, and is quite weak in grapples and other contests of strength.
Arguably insane, sometimes acts in very odd ways contradictory to sound tactics and plans.
Extremely possessive of her uniform, especially her helmet; will go out of her way to avoid harm to it.
