I know I’m barley a regular member now days, but i don't suppose anyone on this site could help me with drawing guns, I continue drawing cartoony figures and attempting a comic at the moment, but fail epically when it comes to drawing guns (which are kinda key for said comic -.-') The guns can range from pistol > shotgun > rifle Etc Any help would be awesome Thanks to anyone who responds

I know for sure someone made a gun tutorial, but I have it bookmarked on my other computer, you should be able to find it here somewhere if you want to.

Just base the gun loosely off a real life gun. Look at the most prominent features of the weapon and exaggerat them. For example, a generic looking rifle: The features that jump out are the triangular buttstock, the lil carrying handle on top, the fact that the gun is LOOONG and has a pointy foresight. So, Like that. Base it on something IRL. As long as you get the obvious bits, people will be all "ohh it's one of THOSE guns." I can't draw for shit anyway so yours will probably look better than this.Other examples: Googled pump action shotgun Or for the classic "handgun" Again you could probably do a much better job than me. I just wanted an excuse to draw guns c: EDIT: It would also be a useful to know a bit about how the gun works, so you can add in the details until you figure "Yeah my character could fire that without it blowing up in his face". Making sure you got a straight barrel is an obvious one. ;D

1. Start on the stock first make sure it is relating to the gun you wish to portray. 2. Add the barrel and the bolt Optional: 1. Add the scope NOTE: the rear is smaller than the front of most scopes 2. A Silencer looks cool in some cases. Heres a kit you can experiment with in paint: The Assembled rifle

I found that looking at guns helps you draw them better. Why not try that?

One does not need a tutorial as long as one studies whatever one draws closely enough, and pay attention to details.
