Thread description
Other than staring at my own anatomy and constantly drawing and redrawing, I was wondering if there were any tips I could get to help? Like, where do you normally start and what should I keep in mind?
I find it extremely hard to draw the head first then the rest of the body, because the head always ends up being too big. Necks are almost as wide as the head. With hands, the thumb throws me off because it never matches the rest of the fingers, so starting with the other fingers, while keeping in mind the palm resembles a square, works best for me. The arms should be able to bend down and make the whole hand go past the waist. Legs naturally curve inward toward the knee for the thighs, and outward again to make the calves, then inward to make an ankle. The proportion of the head should always match the body, but I don't know how to judge that.
I'm not looking for my individual help. I want this thread to be a collection of knowledge about when, where, and how one should begin drawing a full body, so someone who's just starting out can create one faster than it normally takes for someone to make a full body. Basically, a cheat sheet.
Sketches are greatly appreciated!

I'm wondering if there's anything I can think about when attempting to draw this guys's hands, body, and muscles. Should I just continue with the rest of his body and come back to the hands? Proportions bone me harddd.
I think I fucked up by starting with the head :/

This includes faces, body parts, muscles, and everything else.
(Your own art is gladly appreciated!)
