I have a problem with flash. When i draw a circle or somthing, and I select it with click and drag, it only selects what is IN the dragging box. So fo instance, it would only select half of the circle, when it should select the whole circle. It's a small problem, but it's really annoying. Any help? I drew the mouse myself.

I think it needs to be an object to be selected as a whole.

What if you dragged the box all the way over it...
[e] also firemario1 is right, it has to be converted to a symbol to be acle to select it as a whole by scrolling over it a little

I think it needs to be an object to be selected as a whole. What do you mean by that? You mean in properties, to the left where it says "shape" or "drawing object"? What if you dragged the box all the way over it... [e] also firemario1 is right, it has to be converted to a symbol to be acle to select it as a whole by scrolling over it a little No, it doesn't. Earlier today, and since i have flash, i have been able to select parts of something and it would automatically select the whole thing.

Make a box around the whole thing I just made that circle to make it easier to see the problem. When drawings get more complicated, I have to be able to select just parts of it and have it select the whole thing automatically. I fucking know you have to select the whole thing yourself, this way, I'm trying to change it back to the other way.

Just convert it to a symbol if you need to select all of it right away out of a complex picture, or layer it, and lock all the other layers and select it

I think I unchecked or checked a box or something, which I need to fix.

Okay.
First off, considering you use flash and obviously reuse one or two things, you want to make an .fla WITH SYMBOLS.
This both saves time and saves time.
Secondly, if the circle is by itself, merely 'click' a line, to select the entire outline (the inside is a different object all together)

Secondly, if the circle is by itself, merely 'click' a line, to select the entire outline (the inside is a different object all together) I do have a .fla with symbols, actually called...symbols. My guitar front and back, the deity guitars and one of those fist thingies all together for easy copying. But I don't want to select just the outline. I want to be able to select just part of the circle, and have flash select the entire thing automatically. Without it being a symbol or anything. Draw a circle in flash and select just half of it, like in the picture, flash selects the entire thing automatically, right?

Nope. If you want to select the whole thing, you'll be converting it to a symbol.
NO TWO WAYS ABOUT IT

Nope. If you want to select the whole thing, you'll be converting it to a symbol. NO TWO WAYS ABOUT IT Are you fucking serious? I COULD DO IT YESTERDAY! YESTERDAY I made a circle, selected just part of it, and flash selected the entire circle for me. That's how it's been since I got flash, until yesterday.

Flash lied to you. You were high. God lied to you.
Take your pick. Except for the last one, God doesn't lie.

Okay, seriously. EVERYBODY who has flash, do you get these dots when you select a normal, non-symbol circle, by clicking it? Do yas? Also, can you use the arrange>send to back function? Because i can't, anymore. And that's what I do; I arrange that shit. I can't work like this.

I can't be high for an entire year, can I? God doesn't lie. And flash is honest as....something really honest.

The dots just means you've selected it, fool. I know. But if you look cloely, you'll see that only half the circle is selected, the half I clicked on. Normally, the entire circle would be selected, and there would be a blue box around it. And it WAS NOT a symbol. True story.

I know. But if you look cloely, you'll see that only half the circle is selected Ah. You have other lines running through it. A line going through another line splits the lines. Try it, by creating two lines in an 'x' fashion, and clicking any of the four sides.

Try it, by creating two lines in an 'x' fashion, and clicking any of the four sides. I get that. The lines split. But still, yesterday I could make an x with two lines, and I could click one and take it out of the x without the other half staying because it's split. That was yesterday. I'm trying to get back to that stage. I think I notice the problem: when I draw something, in properties is says "Shape"where yesterday, it said "Drawing object" I need to change it back from shape to drawing object. Which should be somewhere in "preferebces" or something, but it's not there.
