FillerTwo buildings sat side-by-side. The Brawl City congress, and Brawl Towers, a residential building, it was in these two buildings that two people who controlled Brawl City were arriving.
FillerThe Brawl City Congress was permanently illuminated by camera flashes that day. Senator Richard Grallse had just arrived in his limo. Grallse was one of Brawl City’s youngest politicians, at the ripe age of 23. He straightened the collar of his spotless black suit, adjusted his rimless glasses, and felt his head to make sure none of his dark black hair had escaped the iron grip the cup of hair gel he’d applied before leaving his mansion.
FillerGrallse had gotten into politics with the help of his father, Stephen Grallse. Grallse senior was rich and hated by the people, one of the notorious “Bullshit Politicians,” and his son was expected to be no better. However, Richard Grallse was a brilliant Politician. In just two years, he’d passed over 14 laws. He’d destroyed the great divide between the Brawlers and the Citizens, he’d converted the Brawler’s arena from a place of blood and death into a haven of the arts, and he’d been the conspirator of the meeting between Balto-Boy, the Brawler’s leader, and Mayor Harlton of Brawl City. It may sound like Richard Grallse did nothing that didn’t relate to the Brawlers, and that was because he did. He always said ‘A democracy cannot function if the people of the nation are always at each other’s throats.’ His policy was to fix the long-running animosity between the Citizens and the Brawlers, to show the Citizens that most of the Brawlers had no interest in killing them, and to show the Brawlers that the Citizens were better then fodder for training on.
FillerReporters pelted Grallse with questions the moment he stepped out of his limo. “Mr. Grallse! What is this ‘important request’ you have to make of the people?”
“Mr. Grallse! Tell us about your newest campaign, do you really intend to make marriage between Brawlers and Citizens legal?”
“Mr. Grallse! What will you do about the 6th street massacre?”
FillerWhile the reporters wanted Grallse to answer ever question they had, the Citizens wanted Grallse to say what he wanted. When Grallse stepped into the Brawl City Congress, there were cheers that would shatter eardrums. Banners like “Grallse – Our hero!” and “Grallse for mayor ’09!” were favorites, but there were more specific ones like “14 laws of greatness, what’s one more?” Whatever reason Grallse had called the people together for, they were ready to listen, they’d pass whatever law he presented for them. He had done so much for them, Richard Grallse was truly Brawl City’s savior.
FillerIt was a pity he’d have to die that day.
FillerRageblood pulled up in his car and stared at the Brawl Towers building. He sighed, it had been a long day at work, and he still had some more work to do at home.
FillerJust looking at him, it was not apparent that Rageblood was anything more than an accountant, he dressed in a simple suit a shade of blue so dark it looked black to the eye. He had a tired look around him, a victim of the stress of adulthood and the monotony of the eight hour work day.
FillerRageblood walked through the door of Brawl Towers, he greeted the doorman with a friendly hello, he took the elevator to his apartment on the 14th floor, and then he did something strange. He checked the handle of his door for a minute, nodded, and went into his apartment. He came out five minutes later with a change of clothes (Another, more casual blue outfit,) and a briefcase. He then took the elevator to the roof.
FillerOnce on the roof, he walked over to the east side and leaned against the small wall there. He his position, he could the Brawl Congress through one of its huge windows. He opened his briefcase, and looked with a smile at the disassembled rifle in it.
FillerRichard Grallse made his way through the crowd of cheering Citizens, and made his way to the podium. He stood up in front of the flashes of cameras, the eyes of the video cameras that were broadcasting his face to the millions of Citizens and Brawlers alike who were about to hear his world-changing speech. “People of Brawl City!” He began. The crowd cheered even louder.
FillerRageblood finished putting his rifle together, and now leaned against the wall looking through to scope at Grallse. “Thank god your head is so big, Grallse.” Rageblood smirked. He lightly flexed his trigger finger. As Grallse’s mouth opened and the crowd cheered again, Rageblood smirked again. “Say goodbye, you fool.” He said.
FillerThen Rageblood felt the cold dread of the pistol barrel that had just been pressed into his head. “Don’t move, you motherfucker.” Captain Chip told him.
