Chapter 4
Two deaths, one chapter
Sticky awoke to a throbbing head, he couldn’t open his left eye, and it was swollen and bleeding. There was an initial moment of panic, but Sticky controlled it, he slowly opened his other eye and saw that he was in an alley, presumably the one next to Winner's Circle.
Sticky rose from the cold sidewalk into a sitting position, he could see Railto was a few feet away, but where was Bulet? Sticky began to worry, he didn't like Bulet at all, but Bulet was his underling, a new face Omni's gang, Sticky had heard they were cousins, If Omni's cousin disappeared, Sticky might as well just shoot himself. Sticky wobbled into a standing position, and went to wake up Railto. Railto was face-down. "Probably asleep, dumb bastard…" Sticky thought. Sticky shook him, “Get up, dumbass. It’s time to go find Bulet.” Railto did not respond. Sticky shook him harder. “Wake up.”
Nothing.
Sticky slapped his hand on his forehead, and recoiled in fright at the sick squelching noise it made.
His hands were covered in Rialto’s blood.
Sticky scrambled to get away, and backed into Bulet, who was leaning against the wall of the alleyway. “BULET! Oh thank God!” Sticky yelled. “Rialto’s dead! What the Fuck are we gonna do?” Bulet took out a bullet from his pocket, looked it over, and then loaded it into his gun. “Ahah, that’s better. Different types of bullets in my gun might give me different ballistic markings, should confuse a few coppers” He muttered. Sticky was confused; this wasn’t how Bulet normally acted at all. He’d consider Bulet “stupid” at best, but now this? What were ballistic markings? “Bule-“
“Just shut up and wait for Grimscott.”
“GRIMSCOTT? HOLY SHIT! I GOTTA GET OUTTA HERE!”
Sticky tried to escape, but Bulet caught him in the stomach with a jab. Sticky fell backwards onto the cold ground, and he closed his eyes, waiting for Grimscott.
Then, a few minutes later, she arrived. Grimscott greeted Bulet, and then walked over to Sticky. She bent down to stare at him. “Bulet tells me you’ve failed.” She said. Sticky grimaced. “I thought you said you wouldn’t fail.” Sticky growled in the back of his throat. Grimscott kicked him. The force slammed Sticky into wall. Sticky coughed and tasted blood in his mouth. He couldn’t say that it was all Bulet’s fault, or else he’d die for sure. His only hope was to hold out and survive. Grimscott leaned over and stared right into Sticky’s face. “I bet you’re wondering if I’m going to kill you, I’d like to, but it’s not my decision.” She pointed to a man entering the alley, wearing black clothes, a red headband, and carrying a katana. “This is Kevin, my protégé; your fate is in his hands.
Ken surveyed Sticky, and then said. “I’m gonna be merciful…” Sticky breathed a sigh of relief. Then Kevin drew his katana. “It’ll be quick.”
Grimscott and Bulet were conserving at the head of the alley. “Did you shoot one of them?” Grimscott asked Bulet.
“Yes, that Rabies guy, right in his metal arm.”
“With the tracking bullet?”
“Indeed.”
“And you made sure they were picked up by the M.S.P. division?”
“Yes, I did.”
Grimscott smiled. “Brilliant…”

“Just shut up and wait for Grimscott.” “GRIMSCOTT? HOLY SHIT! I GOTTA GET OUTTA HERE!” Wow, I thought I was gonna be a good guy, but this has way more levels of kick-ass in it. Also, I think Bulet's gonna be really happy about how his character is turning out. |

Ok, i'll work on the chapter now. Oh, a note: When you read the chapter, if you see anything... oh, i don't know... PARADOXICAL don't assume it's a typo. It's the twist :o |
