Heres a better picture better picture of the building, I've added a little more to the top, I still have a lot to do to make the building actually look like a building, so yea.

what you need is much less contrast in the shading, and probably other buildings around it. reflective surfaces help a ton. i want to suggest you look at mirror's edge for ideas about colour schemes. really simple colouring could help a lot

Hmm, you might want to make the blue a duller/darker shade. For some odd reason, that one doesn't match too well with the building's gray.

It looks more like spray painted "gold" and, well, that's not a good look. Especially not with that flashy blue. And what's that white stuff?

It looks more like spray painted "gold" and, well, that's not a good look. Especially not with that flashy blue. And what's that white stuff? Light reflection from the sun, which is also why the grey parts of the building are sort of yellowish. I would fix it if I knew how to actually make the sun into a physical big ball of light on there and not just a invisible lamp that projects light, you would actually be able to see a reflection from the sun. Hmm, you might want to make the blue a duller/darker shade. For some odd reason, that one doesn't match too well with the building's gray. Ok, I'll make the blue a little darker.

While I agree that the blue isn't quite right, I do think it is a significant improvement to the previous version.
If there's a way to tone down the reflectivity of the surfaces, I'd suggest that.

I dare you to redraw that, But this time make him flex his biceps in a squating positions. I was actually going to make a side and back view of him, then try to make a 3d model of the 3 drawings. Ill try drawing him in a better pose a little later on, possible in that comic thread later on.oh an if you think this is hard, wait till you see Zarth's updated armor im working on.

He's really really dark. I understand he's supposed to be evil or something, but couldn't you lighten it up just a little bit?

He's really really dark. I understand he's supposed to be evil or something, but couldn't you lighten it up just a little bit? Nah, man, evil empire soldiers recognize that they're evil and they flaunt it. I say add some skull and crossbones on that bitch. Maybe even have his eyes glow red, because everyone knows red is evil, and eyes sometimes glow red to let people know.

The soldiers often have to change to different coloured armor, or have the armor they are already wearing painted to fit in with the environment they are fighting in. So say if they were fighting on the white void, they would all be wearing white armor.
And in a desert, their armor would blend in with the colour of the sand.
and so on and so forth.
the red type of armor is really just like a Default color from when it was manufactured. it's the colour of the metals used to make it.

$20 says that, like all other things that hail from Zarth's timeline, this plant will somehow be able to destroy civilizations and possibly transform entire planets into more of itself

*whistle* Okay, you already know my opinion from MSN buuuuuut whatever. Definitely noticing more Master Chiefness (especially helmet-wise) too. Your detail is amazing, though the armor bits feel random. Guess that's because of the lack of symmetry.
Oh, and you never told me, how long did it take you? And how do you intend on replicating his design in pictures without tearing all your hair out?

Well, taking away the time where I couldn't draw worth shit (lost my groove) which was about half of my summer vacation. It really only took me about a day to do. with epic patients and not rushing through it. But when it comes to rejoining the tourny whe it starts over, I probably wont draw him like this. It would take up to much time. Oh and I never meant for him to look like MC, it just sorta happened. :/ MVG: Ehh, small proportion error, no biggy. it might also be because the hand is sort of at a different angle in a way.

Hey, he's got some lines on his face. Maybe a napkin would help?
Seriously, though, I'm a tad confised about the lines. The asymmetry makes it feel alien (which I think was your intent), but also kind of like Junk Man from Mega Man 7 (which I don't think was your intent). Overall I can tell you put a lot of effort into this and it definitely shows, in spite of my issues with some bits of its design.

While the quality of your art is very good, i'm not too crazy about the design of the armour. It just seems too cluttered, kinda looks like magnet man just did a marathon through the scrapyard.

I agree with all of this. The drawing itself is good but not the design. It seems like it's not practical, like he would stab himself in the stomach if he bent over. Not to mention all of that stuff would easily break off in the heat of battle. But i'm just spergin' now.

Alright i'll fix up the armor a bit so it doesn't look so junky and might probably fall off during battle.

I think it might be his spelling, autistic people can have amazing art abilities. I still think you should use spellcheck zarth, it doesn't take too long
